When you ask the tutor

Your message, recent conversation, problem, and reference solutions are sent to OpenAI to generate feedback. Your account name and password are not included automatically. Avoid putting personal details in your work.

What your teacher can see

Your teacher can read your saved conversations and see your prompt counts and the thinking time you enter. Chats are deleted after seven days without activity from you. Returning to a problem, sending a message, or saving time renews that period.

What is kept

Your account, lifetime totals, and request usage records remain until your teacher removes the account. After account deletion, anonymous billing records remain. Passwords are hashed; neither the teacher nor the tutor can read them.

Daily recovery backups contain accounts, teaching materials, settings, and totals, but no conversations or login sessions. Backups are currently kept indefinitely, so deleted account details may remain in them until the backups are manually removed.

OpenAI’s retention is separate

We request that responses are not stored as API conversation history. OpenAI does not use API data for training by default, but may keep abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, with exceptions described in its policy. Our seven-day deletion rule applies to this website, not OpenAI’s logs.

OpenAI’s data controls

Ask your teacher if you have a question about your account or want it removed. AI feedback can be mistaken; bring uncertain mathematical arguments to your teacher.
